Google's new logo

Google, the search engine company has changed its logo. An animated Google Doodle was used on Google's search home page
to present the new logo from September 1, 2015. The company also introduced a new four-color single "G" logo that will replace the blue and white lowercase "g" that appears on app icons and other products.  Logos for other services, like Google+ or page have been given similar flat redesigns using the new typeface. The new logo is already rolling out to Google's web search and will be coming to other products "soon."

Though the Google Company’s logo has changed many times before, this update is the most significant change yet. The all-new sans serif font has thicker, more uniform letters and slightly tweaked colors. The new custom typeface, which Google has dubbed Product Sans, "takes cues from that same schoolbook letter-printing style, but adopts the neutral consistency we’ve all come to expect from a geometric sans serif," Google posted on its blog.

With the change, Google clarifies that its new logo is no longer a single static image. The company will also use animations its website home page; across its products such as Chrome and Search. When initiating a voice search, for example, the logo will change into four colored lines and dots to correspond to when the app is listening after the "OK, Google" command and when it is searching.
