How to Retrieve WiFi Password from Computer

When the computer is connected with Wi-Fi, it will save the password of the Wi-Fi automatically. Do you need to
give your wireless password to a friend or guest or you also want to make your personal computer connect with Internet but you don't know the password? If you need to retrieve your wireless password, you have a couple of different options, or you can reset your router and start from scratch. Here are the steps which will show you how to get Wi-Fi password from computer.

Step 1.  First, you should go to the Desktop to begin the operation. Open the Network Connections window. Windows saves the passwords for the networks that you connect to. To see your saved passwords, open the Network Connections window by right-clicking on your network icon in the System Tray and then a menu will be shown. Click on the option "Open Network and Sharing Center" to continue.

Alternatively, you can press the Windows key + R, type ncpa.cpl, and press Enter to open the window.

Step 2. Right-click on your wireless adapter. You'll see your current connected network. Click on the blue underlined text "WLAN" or "WiFi" to continue. Select "Status" from the menu. The window of Network and Sharing Center will be opened. 

Step 3. To Open the connection's Properties window. Find the button "Wireless Properties" and click on it.

Step 4. To reveal the characters, Switch the tab to "Security" and Check the "Show Characters" box and your wireless password will be displayed. You can write down the password to record it. Click on the button "OK" and close the "Network and Sharing Center" to end the operation.
